First Visit

On your first visit to Dr. Turner’s office, you will be greeted warmly by our front desk personnel and asked to fill out paperwork.  If you wish, you can download the forms and have them filled out before you come in.  If you have an insurance card and/or a list of medications, we ask that you bring those with you.

Once the paperwork is filled out, one of the hygienists will take you back to the treatment room and go over your medical and dental histories. She will then take an overall look at your mouth, charting existing teeth and restorations.  She will take any radiographs that are necessary to check for decay and the condition of the gums. She will take measurements around your gums to check for gum disease and then clean and polish your teeth.  After that, Dr. Turner will examine you.  She will check for decay, missing or broken fillings, periodontal disease, and do an oral cancer screening.  She will discuss with you any recommended treatment, and you will have a chance to ask her any questions you may have. If you need additional treatment, you will be scheduled to come back.  You will also have an option of scheduling your next 6 month check up or we can send you a reminder card a month before you will be due for that appointment.

Financial Policy

For you convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.  We also participate in CareCredit.  We participate in many insurance companies and do our best to procure payment from them in a timely manner. Payment is expected at the time of service, unless prior arrangements have been made.

We send out monthly statements that will reflect your balance once we receive payment from the insurance company or any overdue balances.  Any balance remaining after the insurance has been processed is your responsibility.
